Charalampos Simantonis was born in Piraeus on November 21st, 1966.
He comes from a shipping family, engaged in passenger shipping.
He studied Maritime Economics in the Instituto Univeritario Navale di Napoli (1985 – 1989).
Mr Simantonis is the President and Managing Director of “Silver Bulk SA”, a shipping company which is engaged in bulk carriers’ management and “Med Ferry Shipping Co”, a shipping company which is engaged in the operation of RO/RO and Pallet vessels.
Charalampos Simantonis is the President of Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association (HSSA) since 2012. Prior to taking over HSSA’s Presidency, he has been a Member of the Board of Directors, since 2004.
Charalampos Simantonis has been a Member of the Board of Hellenic Chamber of Shipping, since 2010.
