Annie Koutrakis was first elected as a federal Member of the Parliament of Canada in 2019, representing the district of Vimy in Laval, Quebec, a major suburb of Montreal. In 2021, she was appointed by the Prime Minister as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Transport, and was appointed in 2023 as Parliamentary Secretary to Canada's federal Minister of Tourism and Economic Development for the Regions of Quebec.
She has served on several Parliamentary committees, including the critically important Finance Committee during the Covid Pandemic, and is now on the Transport Committee which also covers Infrastructure and is critical to economic development and Canada's $100 billion tourism industry.
She is a financial services professional, her last position being Vice President, Branch Manager, Advisor Services. Annie has given much of her time in volunteer work for many organizations, including being elected President of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal;the first and only woman in its 117-year history.
Annie was born in Montreal. She attended Dawson College and Concordia University. She is fluently trilingual (French, English, and Greek).
