Claudia Serrano holds a degree in Sociology from the Catholic University of Chile and a PhD in Sociology from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
Serrano has been a public servant acting as Chilean Ambassador to the OECD, Minister of Labor, and Undersecretary of the Ministery of Interior for the Development of Regions.
She has given courses at the Institute of Sociology of the Catholic University, at the Master in Management and Public Policy of the faculty of industrial engineering at the University of Chile and at the Public Policy Diploma in in the faculty of economics at the University of Chile.
She has been consultant at national and international level. She has participated in numerous national and international congresses, seminars and academic events.
She currently works as a consultant in environmental assessment of investment projects in Chile.
