Dr. Evagoras Xydas serves as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Frederick University. In addition to his academic role, he is the CEO and Founder of IREROBOT LTD, a funded R&D start-up based in Cyprus. A haptics expert and recognized innovation leader, Dr. Xydas has secured nearly a million euros in funding and investment during his time at IREROBOT LTD. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cyprus and earned an MSc in Assistive Technology from King’s College London in 2004 as a Chevening scholar, receiving a full merit-based scholarship. He graduated with an excellent GPA from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, where he received various awards for his academic performance. Throughout his academic journey, Dr. Xydas has been honored with numerous scholarships and accolades. His extensive experience includes academic roles at well-regarded universities, along with leadership positions in R&D projects, and advanced engineering and business consulting and in Cyprus and abroad.
