He hοlds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin and a PhD in Economics from Yale University. He has worked as a researcher at the World Bank. He has taught at Yale University and the European University Institute and was a Visiting Scholar at Northwestern University. His primary research field is empirical industrial organization, with a focus on the behavior of consumers and firms and the analysis of market competition. Ηe teaches industrial organization, microeconomics and history of economic thought. He is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the University of Cyprus.
