Ambassador Angelina Eichhorst is the European External Action Service’s Managing Director Europe since September 2021. Before that, she was acting Managing Director and Chief Negotiator for the EU-facilitated Belgrade Pristina Dialogue (2015-2019). Ms Eichhorst has served with the European Union in Lebanon, where she was the EU Ambassador/Head of Delegation (2011-2015). She also worked in Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Somalia and New York with the private sector, the United Nations, research institutes and non-governmental organisations (1989-1996). Born in the Netherlands, Ms. Eichhorst holds a Master’s Degree in languages and cultures of the Middle East and in International Relations. She also holds postgraduate diplomas in international law, human rights and the law of international organisations.
