Dr. Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou is the Greek Prime Minister's Envoy for the Ocean and a Member of the Hellenic Parliament. She serves as the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Environmental Protection and the Subcommittee of Watercourses, as well as Vice-President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. She has served as Vice Chair of the Global Water Partnership Organization and Chair of the Circle of Mediterranean Parliamentarians for Sustainable Development. She is an attorney-at-law by profession and holds a J.S.D. in International Environmental Law.
