Tula made a significant contribution to public service as a securities regulator, civil servant, and
director for not-for-profit organizations.
Tula held senior positions at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) for 16 years, retiring at
the end of 2015. As Director of the OSC Office of Domestic and International Affairs, she was
instrumental in strengthening international relationships to advance securities reform initiatives,
negotiated agreements with foreign regulators to improve cooperation in enforcement, and
worked with national and international regulators and governments to develop standards and laws
in securities regulation. Tula contributed to the work of the Canadian Securities Regulators and to
the International Organization of Securities Commissions.
Prior to joining the OSC, Tula served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Ontario Minister of
Finance. She also had the honour of serving as a Citizenship Court Judge.
Tula is proud of her Greek heritage. She is a Director of The Hellenic Initiative Canada and
chairs the Grants Committee, and sits on the Board of the Hellenic Heritage Foundation.
