David Scott is vice president and head of U.S. Election Services at The Associated Press. Scott coordinates AP’s overall coverage of U.S. elections and directly oversees the AP’s public opinion research team, vote tabulation and research teams, election decision desk and all aspects of the news agency’s business regarding American elections – from the AP vote count that tells the world who won to the AP VoteCast election survey that explains the reasons why.
A graduate of the University of Missouri's School of Journalism, he lives in Washington, D.C., and Portland, Maine.
