Ambassador Dritan Tola was born in Tirana in 1970. He studied French language, literature and law and obtained post-graduate diplomas in various European countries.

He began his professional career in 1992, and has since worked at the European Commission in Tirana and Brussels, and at the European Union Delegation in Albania. He has held various positions within the European institutions, as a policy advisor, following various policy issues related to EU-Albania relations, European integration issues, European and regional developments, and has been responsible for European programs in the field of human rights and human rights. civil society, public administration, environment, etc.

In March 2013, he took up the post of Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to France and Monaco (non-resident) and Representative of the President of the Republic to the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie.

He has been a member of the boards of various institutions, such as the Soros Foundation, the Albanian School of Political Studies, the World Bank's development programs, UNDP (UN), the European Regional Center for the Environment, and others. He is a founding member of the “Lions Club Albanie” and the “Rétromobile Club Albanie” (Albanian Historic Automobile).
