Dr. Wassim El Hajj is the founding Rector of the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo (AUB Mediterraneo) in Pafos, Cyprus, the twin campus of AUB in Beirut, Lebanon. He leads the university’s academic and strategic development, fostering innovation and an American-style liberal arts education that prepares students to become global citizens. His research interests include machine learning, Arabic natural language processing, and network security.
