Dr. Charalambos Vrasidas is a social entrepreneur, innovator, and lifelong learner with over 30 years of experience leading transformative initiatives globally. He is the founder and Executive Director of CARDET, an international non-profit research and development organization based in Cyprus. CARDET focuses on education and development, teacher education, and empowering individuals and organizations to thrive. In addition to his work at CARDET, he is a Professor of Learning Innovations & Policy at the University of Nicosia. As a researcher, teacher, and social entrepreneur, Dr. Vrasidas has led the design and implementation of more than 500 initiatives and projects in over 40 countries. His team has coordinated large-scale initiatives such as the development of the Cyprus Lifelong Learning Strategy 2021-2027 and the Strategy for Civic Engagement and Participatory Democracy. He is the Chair of the Cyprus Education Summit and co-Director of the European Teacher Wellbeing and Career Observatory. His work incorporates emerging technologies, AI, gamification, and Extended Reality (XR), while maintaining a human-centered and holistic approach to innovation.
