Michalis Katrinis PASOK – Movement for Change Member of the Hellenic Parliament for Ilia Distric Born in 1975, he was raised in Ilia, where he completed his school studies. He is married to dentist Ioanna Adamou and they have two children. He is a graduate of the Dentistry School of the University of Athens and holds two Master’s degrees: one in Oral Biology (University of Athens, Dentistry School) and another in Health Services Administration (National School of Public Health). He is a PhD Candidate in Health Policy at the University of the Peloponnese. In 2007, he was elected for the first time as a Member of Parliament for Ilia with PASOK and was re-elected in 2009, 2019, and in the double elections of 2023. In January 2021, he was appointed parliamentary representative of the PASOK – Movement for Change Parliamentary Group, while in December 2021, he was unanimously elected Head of the Parliamentary Group, following a proposal by PASOK President Nikos Androulakis. After the 2023 elections, he was reappointed as parliamentary representative of the party, a role he held until July 2024, when he announced his candidacy for the presidency of PASOK. Since October 2024, he has been serving as the party’s Parliamentary Head for National Defense. In the past, he was a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the Western European Union (WEU), as well as the Parliamentary Assembly of the South- East European Cooperation Process (PROCESS-SEECP). Since October 2023, he has been a regular member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. He is currently a member of the Central Committee and the Political Council of PASOK – Movement for Change.
