Ambassador Marek Szczepanowski is a career diplomat and a civil servant. He graduated in International Relations and National Security at the University of Warsaw, and the National School of Public Administration. He started his career at the Office of the Committee for European Integration and then moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During his foreign postings, he worked at the Polish Consulate General in Milan, as a counsellor in the Political Department of the Embassy of Poland in Rome and as Deputy Director of the Polish Institute in Rome. He served as Director of the Bureau of Archives and Information Management, Director of the Department of Public and Cultural Diplomacy, and Director of Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Warsaw. He started his mission as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Cyprus in September 2023.
