Dr. Spyridon Tsagkaratos is a distinguished architect (D.E.S.A.) with a Master’s degree in Urban and Spatial Planning and a PhD in Regional Planning, Design, and Urbanism from CNAM University in Paris. He has over 40 years of experience in architectural design and urban planning projects. During his tenure at the Ministry YPEXODE, he contributed to the development of the Regulatory Plan of Athens and was actively involved in the designation of over 2,000 listed heritage buildings. He later founded the architectural practice ASPA-KST, which undertakes a wide range of architectural and urban planning studies. The firm’s portfolio includes shopping centers, residential complexes, leisure and sports facilities, commercial office buildings, hotel resorts, educational institutions, healthcare buildings, and large-scale mixed-use developments. Notable projects under his direction include the Athens Mall and Golden Hall shopping centers, major office buildings such as the headquarters of Kaizen Gaming and PwC in Marousi, healthcare facilities like the Oncology Building of the Interbalkan Medical Center in Thessaloniki and hospitality developments across Greece. He has also delivered and implemented significant urban regeneration plans, such as the redevelopment of Agios Dionysios in Piraeus (which included architectural design of call center buildings), the urban regeneration of the former PYRKAL site, and the spatial development plan of Kefalonia. Throughout his career, Dr. Tsagkaratos has demonstrated unwavering dedication to urban planning, architectural design, and the development of strategic regeneration initiatives. His work spans both public and private sectors, marked by close and effective collaboration with government ministries and local authorities.
