Dr Matteo Borghi is an Associate Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Henley Business School, University of Reading, where he also serves as Research Division Lead for Digitalisation, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. His research explores how AI, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies are reshaping business models and customer experiences, with particular relevance for retail and shopping centres. Matteo’s academic work has been published in highly esteemed international journals, yet remains strongly practice-oriented, offering actionable insights for businesses navigating digital transformation. He convenes the Real Estate Entrepreneurship and Technology module and trained at Babson College (USA). A regular speaker at national and international events, Matteo combines academic rigour with practical relevance in debates on innovation and the future of retail.
