Eleftheria Aristotelous is the Deputy Head of the Programme and Policy Division at the Secretariat of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026. A career diplomat, she has experience on EU and Middle Eastern issues, including as the Middle East/Gulf delegate at the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the EU (2019-2023). Her previous foreign assignment was at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in the United States of America (2013-2017). At various posts in Headquarters in Nicosia, Eleftheria has covered a broad range of issues, including human rights and energy diplomacy. She holds an MA from University College London and a Bachelor from the University of Cyprus.
