Annely Koudstaal is the Program Manager for Southern Europe at the World Bank Group, where she oversees a dynamic portfolio of advisory services and technical assistance programs in Greece, Italy and Cyprus. In her previous role, Annely served as a Senior Operations Officer, where she co-led the development of the World Bank Group's Country Partnership Frameworks (CPF) for Bulgaria and Romania. Prior to that, in the office of the World Bank Managing Director for Operations, she played a pivotal role in the institution's COVID-19 response and contributing to the negotiations for the 18th, 19th, and 20th replenishments of the International Development Association (IDA), the World Bank's fund for the poorest countries. Before joining the World Bank Group in 2016, Annely worked at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a Rome-based UN agency, and served at the Netherlands Embassies in Harare, Zimbabwe, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Annely holds a Master of Science in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, a Master of Laws (LLM) from Queen Mary University of London, and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature.
