Spokesperson of PASOK – Movement for Change

Kostas Tsoukalas has been the Spokesperson of PASOK – Movement for Change since October 2024. He was born and raised in Athens and graduated in 2008 from the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Political Science and Sociology.
 
Since 2010, when he founded his own law firm, he has been actively practicing as a trial lawyer, having handled hundreds of cases in all areas of law. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Greece and the Council of State, with expertise in labor law, social security and pension law, as well as banking law with a focus on debt settlement (both judicial and extrajudicial). He has extensive courtroom experience, appearing daily before courts of all levels in Attica and throughout the country. Cases he has managed in recent years have contributed to shaping the case law of the supreme courts, while in defending borrowers he has succeeded in cancelling hundreds of foreclosures and achieving some of the largest debt write-offs in the history of Law 3869/2010 (the "Katseli Law" on over-indebted households).
 
He is a lawyer certified by EFKA for the pension issuance procedure. He has served—and continues to serve—as legal counsel to nationwide trade unions, federations, chambers and businesses. From 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the five-member Arbitration Committee of the Hellenic Football Federation (HFF) for labor disputes between coaches and sports clubs. At the same time, he was permanent legal counsel to the Mutual Assistance Fund of the Personnel of the General Bank of Greece until December 2024.
 
He is married and the father of three children.
