Alexis Kardampikis was born and raised in Granitsa, Evrytania. He is a graduate of the Granitsa Lyceum and holds a degree in Accounting from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. He has served in positions of responsibility in key sectors, including the Ministries of Sports, Culture, Rural Development, Health, and Interior, as well as in educational and research institutions such as the Athens University of Applied Sciences, the Department of Forestry in Karpenissi, and the Organization for Vocational Education and Training (OEEK). His active involvement in public affairs led to his election as Mayor of Agrafa, a mandate that was renewed with his re-election in the 2024 municipal elections. As Mayor, he works tirelessly to address the pressing challenges of the region, with particular emphasis on demographic policy and the support of local families in Agrafa, through targeted measures and strategic partnerships with major social and economic actors. He has placed special importance on fostering links between the Municipality and the academic community. He has achieved collaborations with leading Higher Education Institutions, such as the National Technical University of Athens: (a) the Strategic Plan for the revival of historic Viniani, and (b) a comprehensive development program for the Municipality of Agrafa, as well as with the University of West Attica through a pilot telemedicine program designed to meet healthcare needs in remote communities. These collaborations aim to introduce scientific solutions and innovative practices that will bring new vitality and prospects to the mountainous region of Evrytania. In his personal life, he is the father of two daughters, Magdalini and Irini.
