Georgios Ioannides serves as the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Cyprus to the European Union, contributing to Cyprus’s leadership ahead of its second Presidency of the Council of the EU. A career diplomat with more than two decades of experience, he has held several senior positions within the Cypriot Foreign Service, including High Commissioner of Cyprus to Canada, and postings at the Permanent Representation of Cyprus to the Council of Europe.
