Mr. Dimitris Dimitriou was born in Athens and received his degree in Architecture from the University of Rome in Italy. In 1981, he established his own architectural firm, D. Dimitriou & Partners Architects, and since 1988 he has been the President and CEO of D. DIMITRIOU S.A., a company specializing in the development of private construction projects. He is an active member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Greek Architects Association (SADAS), and has served on several architectural and technical committees. Mr. Dimitriou has also been a board member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in Greece. Since 2002, he has been an elected member of the Board of Directors of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), where he served as President of the Industrial Department from 2006 to 2011. He currently holds the position of Secretary General of the Chamber. Between 2012 and 2015, he served in key roles at the Ministry of Finance, first as a consultant to the General Secretariat of Public Property, then as Head of the Hellinikon Office, coordinating actions for Greece’s largest urban redevelopment project. In 2014–2015, he was appointed President and CEO of the Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC). Alongside his institutional work, Mr. Dimitriou continues to act as a project and development manager for Greek and international companies in the fields of construction, tourism development, and real estate.
