Ionuț Săvoiu is Secretary of State within the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, with a
strong background in geodesy, GIS, mapping, and land administration. A former Member of the
Romanian Parliament (2012–2016), he actively promoted national cadastre reforms and
supported policies for sustainable regional development.
With over a decade of executive experience, he previously served as Country Managing
Director of Blom Romania, leading geospatial, mapping, and GIS projects across Romania and
Central and Eastern Europe, and managing a major production center of 200–300 specialists.
Earlier, as Deputy Director General of the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Registration,
he contributed to major national restructuring and modernization efforts.
Since 2022 as State Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, he was
leading and coordinating activities of the rail transport sector consisting of different state
authorities(ARF, AFER, ASFR, CNAFER, AGIFER), rail transport operators(CFR Calatori SA, CFR
Marfa SA) public infrastructure manager national company(CFR SA) and underground transport
comapny(METROREX). A special focus has been given to the implementaion of large projects
for modernization of rail infrastructure and rolling stock financed by different EU programmes,
development banks and state budget.
