Mr. Athanasopoulos is a seasoned professional with over 30 years experience in the banking sector, both in Greece and Romania. He has solid knowledge of retail and corporate banking, risk management and strategic planning. Mr. Athanasopoulos joined Vista Bank (Romania) in 2010 (then called Marfin Bank Romania), and previously held various managerial positions in the Greek banking system, at Marfin Egnatia Bank, Laiki Bank, Millennium Bank and Ergobank. Mr. Athanasopoulos has economic background, holding a Bachelor of Arts diploma from University of Coventry – Coventry Business School, United Kingdom and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) diploma, accredited by AAACSB, from University of Louisville (USA). He is fluent in Greek and English.
