Ioannis Oikonomou, born in Thessaloniki, is an Urban and Spatial Planning Engineer, having graduated from the University of Thessaly in 2004 and obtained his master’s degree in Planning and Regional Development in 2005. He is the Technical Director of MTC – Makedoniki Technical Company, responsible for MTC’s headquarters in Athens. MTC is an Engineering Consulting Firm, specializing in the implementation of large-scale studies and surveys related to technical projects and engineering and consulting services. employing 150 people, and he is also Associate of the company INFODIM, an IT company specializing in GIS applications, employing 35 people. He has been the Coordinator / Project Manager in major technical projects, in the sector of National Cadastre and Land Consolidation studies, Spatial and Urban planning studies, Real Estate Properties Valuation Services and Land and Easement Acquisition Services for the TAP Pipeline Project during its design and construction phases in Greece. He is an accredited member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
