Patrick J. Deneen is Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame. He is the author or editor of eight books, including the best-selling _Why Liberalism Failed_ (Yale, 2018), which has been translated into over 20 languages. He previously taught at Princeton and Georgetown Universities, and from 2005-2007 served as Special Advisor to the Director of the United States Information Agency.
