Susan Neiman is director of the Einstein Forum, an international public think tank, in Germany. She received her A.B., A.M., and Ph.D. from Harvard University (1986) and also studied at the Freie Universität Berlin (1982-86). She was associate professor of philosophy at Yale University and Tel Aviv University before coming to the Einstein Forum in 2000. Neiman has given hundreds of lectures in many countries including the Tanner Lectures (twice: University of Michigan, 2010, Cambridge University, 2022) as well as the Gifford Lectures at Edinburgh. She is a member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society. She is the author of nine books, translated into 15 languages, most recently Left is not Woke. Her shorter pieces have appeared in The New York Times, The New York Review of Books, The Guardian, Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, and other publications.
