Tom Bevers (°1972) is Director for International Relations and Socio-Economic Studies and Advisor general in the Belgian federal employment ministry, the FPS Employment, Labour and Social Dialogue. He has a master’s degree in applied economics (University of Antwerp). He is the chair of the Management Board of the European Labour Authority since 2019 and from 2013 until 2017 he was the chair of the Employment Committee of the European Union (EMCO). He is also a member of the OECD Employment and Social Affairs Committee (ELSAC) and chairs its Working Party on Employment and its Expert Group on IA in the Labour Market. Moreover, he is a delegate to the International Labour Conference (ILO). He chaired the recurrent discussion on social dialogue at the 2018 conference, negotiated the 2019 Centenary Declaration on the Future of Work on behalf of Belgium and was EU Spokesperson in the 2024 recurrent discussion on fundamental rights and principles at work. Tom Bevers coordinated the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU for his ministry.
