Diana Buzoianu is Romania’s Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests. She is a lawyer by profession. Before becoming Minister, she was a deputy in the Parliament of Romania, where she also served as president of the Environment Committee of the Chamber of Deputies. In her parliamentary work, she strongly supported environmental protection and women’s rights. She initiated and promoted important laws, such as the Law for the Protection of Remarkable Trees, the Law against Food Waste, the Law on Interoperability, the Law on Digital Nomad Visas, and legal changes to make sure that air quality is included when calculating damages from illegal burning. As Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Diana Buzoianu continues this mission. She works to reduce pollution, to protect forests and water resources, and to ensure that the next generations can live in a cleaner and healthier country. With her background as a lawyer and her experience in Parliament, she combines professional expertise with a strong dedication to public service.
