George Agafiței currently leads the Regulatory and Institutional Affairs department of PPC Romania, after having previously served as Director of Institutional Affairs and Sustainability within the company (October 2023 – October 2024). He began his career in the private sector, and has been active in the public sector as well, for the past 11 years. Starting 2016, Mr. Agafiței occupied a series of positions in the Romanian Government: Personal Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Advisor to the Minister of National Defense, as well as State Advisor for the economic and energy sector within the Prime Minister's Chancellery. George Agafiței graduated from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, and pursued a master's degree at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bucharest. He completed his training through numerous courses that resulted in certifications in various areas of activity.
