Kyriakos Berberian is the General Manager of GENESIS Pharma for Greece, Cyprus and Malta and Member of the BoD of SFEE.
Kyriakos has thirty years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, which he has served from various roles, as sales representative, manager, and leader, and from many functions including sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, market access, and governmental affairs. He has extensive experience in CNS, Oncology and Rare Diseases, along with an in-depth knowledge of the regulations, policies, and challenges faced by the local pharmaceutical industry. Throughout his career, he has worked with top executives and teams of leading international biopharmaceutical companies.
He started his career as a medical representative in 1993, first with the pharmaceutical company Welcome Hellas and then with Synthelabo Lavipharm in 1995. In 1997, he joined the newly established GENESIS Pharma as product specialist for CNS. In the following years, he assumed various sales and marketing roles, in 2005 he was appointed Business Unit Lead for Oncology and in 2012 he assumed the position of Head of Market Access and Governmental Affairs. In 2016, he was appointed General Manager of the company's CNS & Specialty Business, and in the years after, he also served as Chief Officer of Governmental Affairs. As of February 2024, he is the General Manager of GENESIS Pharma for Greece, Cyprus and Malta, responsible for the entire portfolio of the company.
Kyriakos has completed management studies and holds an MBA from Kingston University London.
