Evangelos Karamatskos is the Quantum R&D Leader for EY Global Innovation and is a member of the AI & Data Center of Excellence at EY Greece in Athens. He specializes in quantum and AI technologies, data analytics and optimization. Prior to joining EY, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Hamburg, where he focused on ultrafast molecular imaging. Evangelos holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Hamburg, an M.Sc. from Technische Universität Berlin, and a B.Sc. from Freie Universität Berlin. In his current role, he leads research and business development for EY Global Innovation’s Quantum Lab, collaborating with industry and research organizations to develop use cases and novel quantum algorithms, and providing advisory services on quantum strategy, technology risk and innovation.
