Dr. Sotiris Bantas is a serial entrepreneur and technologist with deep expertise in IoT and semiconductor design. He is the founder and CEO of Centaur, the company behind the Internet-of-Crops® platform – an AI- and IoT-powered system that enhances supply chain sustainability and operational visibility across global food and industrial logistics. Under his leadership, Centaur has deployed its technology in more than 25 countries and secured investment from leading international venture capital firms and strategic partners.
Earlier in his career, he co-founded a semiconductor design software company, serving as CTO and leading the development of RF and high-speed IC design solutions adopted by leading semiconductor companies worldwide, culminating in a landmark acquisition by a major U.S. technology firm. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and is a prolific inventor with several patents spanning sensors, electronic design automation, and computational methods.
Dr. Bantas actively mentors startups and serves on multiple industry boards, including the Board of the Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association (HETiA), where he helps advance Greece’s technology, semiconductor, and deep-tech innovation ecosystem.
