George Papageorgiou is the Managing Director at Theon Sensors, a world leader in advanced optronics, George oversees the executive teams, drives business growth, and fosters a high-performance culture. Previously, George served as COO at Theon Sensors, where he drove digitalization initiatives, focused on operational efficiency, and managed cross-functional teams. His earlier career at the chemical industry included senior roles in Operations, production leadership, and project management in both Europe and the United States, where he successfully led large-scale manufacturing projects and supply chain integrations. George holds an Executive Training diploma from Stanford University, an MBA from SDA Bocconi and Rotman School of Management, a master’s degree in management, Technology & Economics (ETH Zurich) and he is Mechanical Engineer by training from NTUA. He is also certified Six Sigma Black Belt, fluent in English, Italian, and Greek, and an active member of several professional organizations.
