Elira Kokona is a distinguished professional and legal expert with degrees from La Sapienza University in Rome Italy and Tirana University, Albania. With a long experience in international organization - at the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe- she has contributed significantly to enhancing human rights and rule of law in Albania.Practitioner lawyer in Albania and Italy, she worked with top law firms in Albania and Italy and lecturer at the Albanian School of Magistrates, Albanian school of Advocates and Luarasi University. She was a member of High-Level civil servant and served at several high-level public offices in the Albanian Administration as the Head of the legal service of the Albanian Government, PMO, Secretary General (SG) of the Ministry of Justice and SG of the Ministry of Culture. Fluent in multiple languages, as the CEO of the Albanian Investment Corporation (AIC), Elira is focused in taking the needed key organizational decisions to steer the Corporation's strategic direction in cooperation with the staff and the governing bodies of the company.
