George Tataris was born and raised in Athens, Greece, and has spent the past twelve years living in Houston, Texas. George attends Rice University, pursuing a B.S. in Biosciences and a B.A. in Spanish. Upon graduating in May 2026, he will attend medical school. His research at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine focuses on engineering next-generation CAR T-cell therapies for solid tumors, with published work in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer. George is deeply committed to bilingual patient care and health equity through his leadership in the Baylor College of Medicine–Patient Discharge Initiative and his clinical experience as an Emergency Medical Technician. He has also led community-centered projects in Spain related to cerebral palsy and engages extensively in cultural leadership as president of the Rice Hellenic Student Association. Fluent in Greek, English, and Spanish, George aims to build a career at the intersection of compassionate care, translational research, and community impact.
