My name is Athanasios (Thanos) Zeikos and I am a Pharmacist (MPharm). I have acquired an Integrated Master in Pharmacy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2019-2024) with an excellent grade (8.57/10). I have worked my thesis project in Medicinal Chemistry (2023/24) as a research lab project in Medicinal Chemistry with the topic "Design and synthesis of heterocyclic hydroxyimidic analogues with anti-HBV activity through viral RNaseH inhibition" under the supervision of Dr. Grigoris Zoidis. I am an "Onassis Foundation" Scholar due to academic excellence during my Integrated Master in Pharmacy. I have completed internships in the "Amalia Nikolou" Pharmacy, in the General Children's Hospital of Athens "Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou" and in Qualitis SA (now a member of Optimapharm). Currently, I am a 2nd-year MSc Candidate in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen working on my thesis project. This project is a research lab project in Medicinal Chemistry with the topic "Development of selective CaMKIIδ hub domain ligands" under the supervision of Dr. Bente Frølund at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology at the University of Copenhagen. I have also worked on a research project in Medicinal Chemistry during the 1st year of my Master's degree with the topic "Development of selective ligands for CaMKIIβ" under the supervision of Dr. Bente Frølund at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology at the University of Copenhagen. I have completed several online courses and I have attended many conferences and networking events in the fields that I am strongly interested in, such as Drug Discovery and Development, Clinical Trials, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs and Pharmaceutical Innovation. I am a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), Pharmadanmark (The Union for Life Science Professionals), the Hellenic Society of Pharmaceutical Medicine (EL.E.F.I.), the Hellenic Society of Medicinal Chemistry (HSMC) and the Young Scientists Network of the European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology (EFMC-YSN network).
