Dimitris Apokis is an International Relations/ Economics Analyst and Journalist, ta the Hellenic
Broadcast Corporation, ERT NEWS/ERT. For almost two decades was the Washington DC,
Correspondent for ERT. He worked as a correspondent in Washington DC, for the Greek
Newspaper “TO VIMA”, the Cyprus News Agency, the BBC World Service, Greek Service. He is
also an OpEd Columnist at, thepresident.gr .
He holds a BA, in International Relations form The American University, School of International
Service and an MA, in International Relations specializing in American Foreign Policy, from, The
Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, The Johns Hopkins University,
Washington DC.
He also worked in the Greek government, as a Special Advisor to the Minister of Culture,
Tourism and Sports and a Special Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Health and Sports.
He was an Executive Vice President, at the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens, “Spiros Louis”.
