Galip Dalay is senior consulting fellow at Chatham House. He is also a doctoral researcher at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford, and non-resident senior fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs. 

He was previously Mercator-IPC senior fellow at Istanbul Policy Center and at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), and Richard von Weizsäcker fellow at Robert Bosch Academy in Berlin. He was also a CATS fellow at SWP.

Dalay was also a visiting fellow at the Institute for Human Science (IWM) in Vienna as part of its Eurasia in Global Dialogues programme, and non-resident fellow at Brookings Doha Center. His work focuses on Turkey, the eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, the history and politics of Turkey, Turkey–Russia relations, and the history and politics of post-imperial and post-colonial forms of internationalism. 

His work has appeared in Foreign AffairsForeign Policy, Project Syndicate, CNN, The National InterestNewsweekLe MondeInternationale Politik, DW Opinion, Open Democracy, Al Jazeera, and Middle East Eye.
