Tassos Vlassopoulos is the CEO of HelleniQ Upstream, the E&P arm of HelleniQ Energy. Prior to this role, before 2020, he held senior management positions with multinationals such as GE, Texaco and has 37 years of international experience, acquired in upstream oil & gas, energy, strategy consulting (BCG), M&A and product management. He has also held a non-Exec Board position with PPC. He has published an influential SPE paper on “Standardisation - Learnings from Industrial Sectors” that have led to many industry initiatives in the UKCS. At the beginning of his career, he worked as a Research Officer at the London Business School, where he co-authored a book and academic articles on industrial and business strategy. He holds a MSc in Operational Research from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a 1st class BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Piraeus.
