Sergey Radchenko is the Wilson E. Schmidt Distinguished Professor at SAIS/Johns Hopkins. He is an expert on China's and Russia's foreign and security policies. His recent publications include To Run the World: the Kremlin's Cold War Bid for Global Power (Cambridge University Press), a 2024 Times and Sunday Times book of the year, a 2024 Foreign Affairs editor's pick, and the winner of the 2025 Gelber Prize.
