Journalist, Europe’s Future Fellow

Ivana Dragičević is currently editor-at-large at N1 Television, an exclusive CNN affiliate for the Adria-Balkans Region, where she previously held roles of Executive Producer of News Programme and Executive Editor of International News. In 2021. and beginning of 2022. she collaborated with European Parliament in the project Future of Europe which focused on main challenges for European future aligned with the issues raised during Conference on the Future of Europe. https://hr.n1info.com/tag/buducnost-europe/

She’s multiple award winning journalist whose work is focused on European and international affairs for more than twenty five years. She’s also an author of acclaimed documentary films on China, Middle East, Africa, G7/G20 summits, Balkans... First part of her working career she spent on HRT, Croatian Public TV Broadcaster, where she was foreign affairs correspondent, chief correspondent in Belgrade, editor-in-chief of foreign affairs programme Horizonti, and an author of a pioneer multimedia project Anima-Hotel Europa about migration nominated for Prix Circom and PriMed. https://anima.hrt.hr/ 

For her work she received three annual awards from Croatian Journalists’ Association (1999., 2001., 2013.) as best TV journalist and she received first ever annual HRT award Joško Martinović for best TV reporting (2010.). 

Her work was during the years mainly focused on issues in the Balkans, EU affairs, global crisis and multilateralism. She was an author of the programme “Balkans in Europe” and “Fokus Europa” made in association with European Fund for the Balkans from European Parliament for N1 TV. During her career she made interviews with various global public figures from Bashar al-Assad to Jens Stoltenberg, Amin Maalouf to Bob Geldof.  

She’s an alumna of Reuters Foundation, ARD-ZDF Medien Akademie, Moscow School of Political Studies, IVLP State Department programme on the subject of fighting violent extremism, United Nations Academy-Croatia, Academy for Political Development Croatia and she’s a member of The Trilateral Commission. 

Ms. Dragicevic is an author of acclaimed book “Unequals-stories on today’s world” on globalization, global governance and inequality.

She often moderates regional and international panels both live and on-line. 

She collaborates with various international organizations, think-thanks, NGO’s, but also with various different organisations in promoting new ideas and reflections for the world. Her work in that regard led her in the field of culture where she collaborated with theatre group Montažstroj on their project on ageing population called 55+, for which they received awards for best documentary film at festivals in Belgrade and Liburnia film festival. Her short stories “My best friend told me” were turned to theatre play directed by Dalibor Matanić, winner of Un certain regard award at Cannes Film Festival.

Ms. Dragicevic expertise in the field of communication and international relations also led her in the field of lectures, analytics, coaching and training. Currently she’s a lecturer at Academy of film at Zagreb University.
