Dr. Giorgos Veliotis serves as General Manager, Life & Health, at INTERAMERICAN (part of Achmea). He has been elected Chair of the European Insurance Health Committee (Insurance Europe Health Platform) and also serves as Chair of the EURAPCO Health Group.
Since 1997, Dr. Veliotis has played a key role in the design, development, and evolution of Interamerican’s healthcare system, as well as in the implementation of all major initiatives undertaken by the company in the health sector. He studied Medicine in South Africa and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the Witwatersrand.
He has worked in South Africa and the United States within leading healthcare management organizations, where he contributed to the design and development of healthcare systems. His work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals, and he is the author of a book on Health Management.
