Nikos Sergis is the Head of the Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) Unit at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Greece, leading the country’s national PPP programme, which supports the delivery of major infrastructure and public service projects. Under his leadership, Greece has developed a structured and internationally recognized PPP framework. To date, the Greek PPP Unit has signed 32 PPP contracts with a total development cost of approximately €4 billion, while a further 35 projects are currently in the tender process, representing an additional €5 billion in planned investment. These projects span sectors such as transport, social infrastructure, digital services and environmental projects. Mr. Sergis plays a central role in shaping Greece’s modern PPP governance model, promoting transparency, competitiveness and long-term value for the public, and works closely with international investors, financial institutions and European organisations to support Greece’s infrastructure investment strategy.
