Misha Glenny is the Rector of Vienna’s Institute for Human Sciences (iwm.at), an advanced studies institute in the Humanities with a particular emphasis on Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe. An award-winning journalist, broadcaster and historian, Glenny’s works include The Fall of Yugoslavia, The Balkans: Nationalism, War and the Great Powers, 1804-2012, and McMafia: Seriously Organised Crime which was adapted into an Emmy award-winning television drama by the BBC. A sought-after keynote speaker, he has taught as a visiting professor at the LSE, Columbia University and University College London.
