Adonis–Spyridon Georgiadis was born on November 6, 1972, in Athens. He is married to Eugenia Manolidou, and they have two children, Athanasios-Perseas and Anastasios-Alkaios. He is a graduate of the Department of History and Archaeology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 1993, he took over the management of the publishing house “Georgiadis – Library of the Greeks.” In 1994, he founded the Center for Liberal Studies “Hellenic Education.” He was elected Member of Parliament for the B’ Athens constituency in the 2007 and 2009 elections with the Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) party. In February 2012, he joined New Democracy, surrendering his parliamentary seat. He was subsequently elected with New Democracy in the B’ Athens constituency in the 2012 and 2015 national elections. In 2011, he served as Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs in the government of Lucas Papademos, and in 2013 as Minister of Health in the government of Antonis Samaras. On January 18, 2016, by decision of the President of New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he was appointed as one of the party’s two Vice Presidents, responsible for overseeing parliamentary work. On July 9, 2019, Adonis Georgiadis was sworn in as Minister of Development and Investments in the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, a position he held for four years. In the elections of May 21, 2023, he was re-elected as Member of Parliament for the Northern Sector of Athens. On June 27, 2023, he was sworn in as Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, and on January 4, 2024, he was sworn in as Minister of Health.
