Christos Kallandranis is Associate Professor of Finance at the University of West Attica and Instructor at the Hellenic Open University. He also serves as Program Director of a newly launched BA programme (BA in Applied Philosophy in Business Decision Making) at Uni-WA. Prior to his current appointments, he held academic positions at Regent’s University London in the U.K., Marconi University in Rome-Italy, University of Patras, and the Open University of Cyprus. He has further contributed to higher education as an external examiner and evaluator of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at several international universities. His research lies in applied finance and economics, with particular emphasis on loan markets and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with recent work examining the relationship between military expenditure and economic growth. His research has been published in internationally recognised journals and presented at leading conferences. He also contributes regularly to public discourse through opinion articles in the Greek press.
