Despina has an overall experience of 32 years in international financing transactions across banking, finance, energy, infrastructure, and policy in the financial and capital markets sector. She has worked in multinational and interdisciplinary environments in Brussels, NY, London and Athens. During her career, she has represented governments, regulators, EU institutions, multilaterals, the investment community, financial institutions, and corporates of different sectors. She currently serves on the Boards and Board Committees of Public Power Corporation (PPC) and Statistical Decision SA, and previously served on the Board of Credia Bank until the end of 2025. She now follows an executive master’s and research programme in Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation at the Said Business School of Oxford University. Despina has been a visiting Professor for banking and finance transaction structuring at the University of Piraeus. She consistently follows international market and academic developments in Technology & Innovation, FinTech Energy, corporate governance & decision-making. She has received relevant certifications from Bocconi, INSEAD, IMD, and EUI in Artificial Intelligence, FinTech and Blockchain, Tokenisation, ESG, and Banking/Governance. She has worked with Governments and administrations, HFSH/Growthfund, the EU Commission, KPMG, Alpha Bank, Actor/CIS, Technical Olympic, Milbank, Shearman & Sterling, Chadbourne & Park/NRF, McDermot&Ellis/Stanbrook & Hooper.
