Fernando Pinto Hernández is an Associate Professor of Applied Economics and researcher at the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences at Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid, Spain). His academic work focuses on labour economics, taxation, and housing market economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Salamanca, awarded with International Mention, and a Master’s degree in Economic Analysis of Law and Public Policy. He has complemented his academic training through research stays at internationally renowned institutions, including the Oxford Department of International Development and the Department of Economics at San Diego State University. Fernando collaborates with leading Spanish think tanks in the field of public policy and applied economics, such as FEDEA and the Instituto de Estudios Económicos. In the area of university–industry collaboration, he is co-director of DIZA Market.
