Panagiotis Mpogiatzidis studied Mathematics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master’s degree in Health Unit Management from the Hellenic Open University. He received his PhD from the University of Ioannina with a dissertation on internal customer satisfaction and service efficiency in the healthcare sector. His research interests focus on Health Economics and Health Services Management, with publications in scientific journals and presentations at international conferences. Since 1997 he has worked in the National Health System of Greece, serving as Governor of the Mamatsio General Hospital of Kozani (2004–2010), Deputy Governor (2013–2015) and Governor (2019–2024) of the 3rd Health Region of Macedonia. He is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Midwifery, School of Health Sciences, at the University of Western Macedonia.
